Here at Polytop, we take pride in the enormous strides we have made in our continuous sustainability efforts. We realize the impact we have on the environment and are conscious of how our actions can protect and preserve our planet for future generations.

  Post Consumer Resin (PCR)  
Polytop is proud to announce that we have successfully qualified 50% Post Consumer Resin in our comprehensive line of tube closures.
 
With this recent achievement, we are confident that we can effectively incorporate 50% PCR into our entire line of Polycam® closures.

  Company-Wide Recycling Efforts  
Preserving our environment is a company-wide vision at Polytop. All Polytop employees contribute to this goal by participating in company-wide recycling efforts. All recyclable waste is separated and disposed of in various receptacles specific to material types. We have teamed up with local recycling agencies to properly manage and distribute our solid waste for reprocessing.

  Waste Reduction                            
Our creative Engineering team focuses on developing lightweight designs that allow us to reduce waste associated with production and disposal of our products. One of the results of this concentrated effort is our 2-1/8 Inch Inverted Polycam® line, available with our exclusive “Metered Flow” dispense system. This innovative orifice style is an earth-friendly alternative to the silicone valve, as all of our Polycams® are manufactured in one material (PP) and are fully recyclable. The exceptional offerings from our Inverted line also weigh in at @ 15% less than comparable products from other manufacturers.
 
We have also taken into consideration the amount of corrugated that is distributed by Polytop and we have made many adjustments to our carton and pallet counts. These improvements have lead to a 15-20% overall reduction in the total number of cartons utilized by our facility. Additionally, our modifications to carton and pallets counts have provided our customers with the ability to place up to 10% more product onto a full shipping trailer.

  Reduced Energy Usage                  
We have taken a substantial initiative to decrease energy usage by converting to a cooling system that significantly reduces the amount of energy required to maintain our process temperatures.
 
Polytop has made a move to energy-efficient molding machines. By replacing several hydraulic machines with electric equipment, we have reduced our energy usage by 750kw/hr. That’s a savings of 4,500,000 kw each year!
